A Functional Programming conference, LambdaConf, has invited an individual named "Curtis Yarvin." For almost a decade Yarvin blogged under the pseudonym Mencius Moldbug, and is is this writing that has led to controversy and a push to disinvite him.
In this controversy and push to disinvite him, what Yarvin/Moldbug espoused has often been summarized or paraphrased. I took it upon myself to read his archives and was horrified.
The bar of when to disinvite someone for their unrelated views is extremely high. Curtis Yarvin clears this bar. It's often a sticky ethical and moral dilemma, in the case of a conference, for speakers, anteeedees, and sponsors. To completely dissociate one's self with Curtis Yarvin is not.
Hopefully mere quotes can make this clear.
And the context is worse.
